Shanghai and Ikea

BBC Radio today reported, elderly Chinese widows and widowers are using Ikea department store to find their next mates. Openly and flirtatiously!

Swedish department store also serves as sino-match-maker!

Who would have thought!

Beautiful!

Excerpt and the article from New York Times

A Quote

I am citing something I heard recently on a show full of politics, intrigues, religion, mayhem, debauchery, violence and all that is wrong with the civilization.

"Vengeance should never be seen as that; it should always be unexpected and it should rarely be public. Vengeance is patient; it can wait for lifetime if necessary and it never dies."

Order within Disorder

Last night we were watching a Japanese movie. Bhupen made a comment regarding something that drew him to their set up. He tried to come up with a descriptive word but was not satisfied. I tried to help but was not meeting up to what he had in his mind.

I have been intrigued by Japanese people and their way of living. In Japan, land is hard to come by. Perhaps, this has helped the people of the land to acquire a deeper sense and sensibility of Space, Place and Priority (Order). They  maximalize the minimal space they have. They seem to know the place for things (and themselves) in relationship to the rest of the world. Everything seem to have a place and everything seem to be  in its place. Assigning priorities to things, people and events will help achieve this.

An orderly living, in disorderly world.......
