Barcarole By James Last

James Last died and I remembered his music we used to play very fondly in seventies.......

The tune Barcarole from 'The Tales Of Hoffmann" is from his long play album ' Classics Up To Date'

Auma, do you hear what I say
The rain is on it's way
Return our cattle home
Yeah, the children
What is it that you think you do?
The rain is on it's way
Return our cattle home.

Manasi Oza-Raga Bhimpalasi-Solo Riyaz

This is Raga Bhimpalasi, being practiced solo by my niece, Manasi. She is extremely talented young lady. I am very proud as well as envious of her.

Actually I envy both of my nieces' musical talent. Meghana is extremely musically inclined also. But she traded musical riyaz for motherhood. At least for the time being. I am sure she will pick it up again in the future.

Rag Jaijaiwanti

I am thinking of my father a lot today. In his memory I am posting a favorite Rag of his; Rag: Jaijaiwanti sung beautifully by Pundit Jasraj.
