Panama City-Photographic Souvenirs from Recent Trip

We found this wonderful white building in the Panama city.  I could not resist to alter the photograph to make it look like it is spewing smoke. 

The second picture is that of Embera people's thatched hut's open living quarter. Hand-hewn ladder leads up to bunk bed.

I love to visit large structures with vaulted ceilings. Cathedrals are some of my favorite buildings. I get awed when I see large cathedrals that were built centuries ago and are still around.  The interiors are often adorned with colored stained glass windows.  

Catedral Metropolitan de Nuestra de la Asuncion in Panama city is not that huge but quite imposing. I took the picture of the inside large hall of the church.  I exaggeratedly color and line enhanced to give the feel of antiquity of European churches. 

I borrowed the outside facade of the church in second picture from Wikipedia.

Leaf Insects-Costa Rica

These Leaf Insects are of Phylliidae (Wikipedia) genus. Extremely well camouflaged I found them outside our hotel room in Costa Rica.

Having developed such advanced tricks of survival, I do not doubt that they, with other such insects, shall inherit the earth.

New Style-Experimental

I am experimenting with a new style of enhancing my photographs. First picture is a plate of dessert at a Panamanian restaurant; "Madrigal" .

Second is the sunset from my house. Of late, sunsets seem glorious, perhaps because of last year's summer wildfires in West.
